Marry that girl7/3/2023 ![]() ![]() Then Jack’s boss gives him and opportunity. The night they meet they share an amazing kiss, exchange numbers, yet still they resist. Jack and Hannah meet one night at a bar, there is instant chemistry, but neither of them are looking for a relationship. This was just a Playful light hearted story Full of sass, Snark, steam, and four letter words. The book put a bit of a twist on it, this time it is the guy that is trying to lose the girl and it is the girl trying to prove that she can be in a relationship. Christopher has written a fun retelling of one of my all-time favorite movies How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Thanks to Berkley romance for an advanced copy!Īndie J. I’m so sad I didn’t end up enjoying this because I had such HIGH HOPES going in, but this is one of the worst of the year for me. I’m gonna stop reading this and watch the movie instead because I can’t deal with this anymore ![]() I should’ve DNF’ed this after the first chapter This isn’t just a How To Lose a Guy In 10 Days retelling, it feels like a rip off because it’s way to on the nose, except for the fact that the movie is way better and these characters are obnoxious. They both feel guilty about hurting the other one and their thoughts are so repetitive, they keep saying the same shit like: “she’s so great, too bad I have to break her heart” or “he’s the perfect man, too bad I am using him for a promotion” over and over and OVER again This is a lot more vulgar than I expected it to be with the cute illustrated cover, it’s kind of like Fix Her Up in that way Why is he calling her Duchess? □ he’s called her that four times now and it’s not cute Why does she keep using the phrase “panties magically disappearing all over town” or something of that sort whenever she describes how attractive he is? □ it’s so cheesy Why are they using words like bozos? And friggin’? I haven’t heard those words since middle school haha They try to have this “witty banter” but I lost track of how many times I rolled my eyes Both of these characters are annoying as shit How many times did they bring up his dick in the first two chapters? He calls her a “sexy rabid raccoon”? What the fuck?□ She’s using him for a promotion, he’s using her because he wants to write about politics but first his boss assigns him: how to lose a girl, it’s a little too on the nose for a retelling with the genders reversed The writing is terrible, it reads sooo juvenile and immature and reminds me of The Proposal by Jasmine Guillory but even worse? ![]() Here are my non-spoilery thoughts I had while reading this book: But this book is just bad and the only thing about this story that I liked is that Hannah is biracial, I appreciate that representation and I think books need more of it, but that’s about it. And I am so SAD, because this was one of my most anticipated romances of the year because I LOVE How To Lose a Guy In 10 Days. I wanted to DNF this after the first chapter, that’s how bad it was. He’s the perfect man to date for a couple weeks to prove to her boss that she’s not scared of feelings.īefore Jack and Hannah know it, their fake relationship starts to feel all too real-and neither of them can stand to lose each other. She needs to show her boss that she has range, including planning dreaded, romantic weddings. But Hannah has a bit of an image problem. Her firm is one of the most prestigious in the city, and she's determined to secure her next promotion. Hannah is an extremely successful event planner who's focused on climbing the career ladder. Easier said than done when the girl he meets is Hannah Mayfield, and he's not sure he wants her to dump him. Fed up with his fluffy articles and the app-based dating scene as well, he strikes a deal with his boss to write a final piece de resistance: How to Lose a Girl. His viral success has pigeon-holed him as the how-to guy for a buzzy, internet media company instead of covering hard-hitting politics. Jack Nolan is a gentleman, a journalist, and unlucky in love. How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days gets a millennial makeover in this romantic comedy by USA Today bestselling author Andie J. ![]()

Cat quest sell items7/3/2023 ![]() ![]() Previous studies have mainly focused on the validation of cataract surgery candidates in a hospital setting, but a questionnaire valid in a hospital setting serves only as an indirect evidence it is also valid community screening. On the other hand, the aim of the study was also to find the direct evidence that the Catquest-9SF would be used as a routine clinical tool in community screening. On the one hand, the results of Chinese Catquest-9SF is still controversial, one study claimed that all nine questions of Chinese Catquest-9SF are valid and reliable, while the other study suggested that it is better remove item 7, for item 7 is misfitting. However, unsolved problems issues arise on the Chinese Catquest-9SF. Recently, this questionnaire has been assessed by using Rasch analysis in Chinese populations. Ĭurrently, Catquest-9SF has been translated and culturally adapted, as well as validated, in Australia, Germany and Austria, Italy, and the Netherlands, among other countries. However, its nine-item short-form Rasch-scaled version (Catquest-9SF) was shown to be more reliable and valid in measuring the visual disability outcomes of cataract surgery. Originally, Catquest-9SF contained 19 questions, was available in Swedish and was used by the National Swedish Cataract Register to evaluate the visual disability of cataract patients. Catquest-9SF has been adopted by the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) to specifically measure the risk factors for and outcomes of cataracts, which are the main global cause of blindness and vision impairment. ![]() There are many vision-related functional questionnaires, such as Visual Functioning 14 (VF-14), NEI-visual functioning questionnaire 25 (NEI-VFQ 25) and Catquest nine-item short-form (Catquest-9SF). The major representative of formal PROs is reliable and validated multi-item questionnaires. Patient-reported outcomes (PROs), together with Clinician-reported outcomes (CROs) and laboratory tests (or device measurements) are three types of endpoints of diseases. Thus, this questionnaire may be expected to be an auxiliary tool for preliminary cataract screening use. The Chinese version of Catquest-9SF is a valid and reliable questionnaire in community screenings. There was a fair but statistically significant correlation between Catquest-9SF (Q6, Q7, and Q8) and LOCS III scores and a moderate correlation between Q4 in Catquest-9SF and subcapsular components for the better eye ( r = − 0.546, p < 0.001). The Catquest-9SF questionnaire demonstrated ordered response categories and unidimensionality (item fit statistics range: 0.70–1.35) the PSI and PR of the category probability curves were 2.00 and 0.80, respectively. Rasch analysis was used to assess its psychometric properties, and Spearman correlation coefficient was employed to determine the correlation between Catquest-9SF scores and LOCS III cataract grading. The Catquest-9SF questionnaire was translated into Chinese and was completed by 104 Chinese cataract patients who were diagnosed in community screening. ![]() This was a prospective questionnaire validation study. Stripes camouflage a zebraĬould zebra stripes work to help camouflage them from their main predators, lions and hyenas? Let’s explore the six theories in more detail: 1. Zebras stripes help them avoid fly bites. ![]() Zebras evolved stripes to help manage their temperature.Zebras are striped to improve their chances with predators. ![]() Six theories have been put forward over the years, and recently there seems to have been a renewed interest, with scientists such as Tim Caro testing and investigating many of the theories, all of which fall into four categories: Why zebras evolved to have such unique black and white stripes is a question that scientists – and the average safari-goer – have been asking for well over a century. So, why do zebras have stripes? Let’s look at the theories: Meaning a zebra’s fur is actually black, and the white areas are fur that lacks pigmentation. Each zebra’ss unique striped pattern is a result of pigment activation (the black) and inhibition (the white). Zebras have dark skin beneath their furĢ. One common question about zebras is ‘Are zebra’s white with black stripes, or black with white stripes?’ For two reasons, most experts consider zebra to be black with white stripes:ġ. The resulting pattern is completely unique to each zebra, much like a human fingerprint. Genetics causing selective pigmentation determines the variety of striping in any given animal.
