We're in a manufacturing environment and the employees don't deal well with unexpected prompts from the browser, OS, etc. We have both the Surface and Tab A tablets in service now, and we average at least 1 help ticket a week about a time clock not working. We had better success with using Surface Pro tablets locked down with Kioware, but that isn't a fully reliable solution. We worked with Paylocity trying ethernet connections instead of wifi and Paylocity supplied Tab A instead of independently purchased. They worked, but were slow and unreliable. We started out with the recommended hardware, Samsung Tab A configured according to Paylocity's instructions. When I was initially told that this would run on Android tablets - I thought that would be ok, expecting it to be an app. As part of that transition, we pulled our dedicated time clocks to use Paylocity's Web Clock. Earlier this year, our company switched to using Paylocity. ![]()
